How to Start Indoor Vegetable Gardening
Many people ask me How to Start Indoor Vegetable Gardening? A indoor vegetable gardening has become popular because its easy to control the envioroment. I think it has also become popular because its fast fun and can be very rewarding for the gardener. It is also great for those who do not have a big yard for growing a vegetable garden. So if you have containers be prepared for a little fun!
Any container will work fine so do not stress what container to use or not to use. Just whatever you think looks good will work. Just make sure the container has a drainage system obviously.
Ok so your going to need to prepare the soil. There are different ways you can do this and there really isnt a wrong way as long as you follow the general guidelines im about to give you. Or you can buy my new book: How to Start Indoor Vegetable Gardening?
- Your soil should be lightweight and easy to drain from. To do this you will need a mix of equal amounts of native soil, coarse sharp sand and compost.
- Next you just want to add your soil into the container. Make sure you dont pack the soil too tight though, leave it a little lose to give your garden a little breathing room. Fill the container nearly to the top with soil. Leave about 2 inches of space for watering room.
- Get some seeds and plant them!Follow the standard watering, sunlight etc rules for standard planting and you will see your plants grow fairly quickly.
